Dance, paint, design, and recreate traditional Indian themes and stories. Indigenous animals accompany us through India’s artistic heritage and early folklore. Tara Books will help us explore art and culture, as well as traditions on our journey through India.
-Try out the ancient custom of henna art brought to the Indian subcontinent by the Mughals in the 12th century AD.
-Create block prints inspired by Tara Book animal designs.
-Give Indian dancing a whirl through modern Bollywood choreography and commemorate the rituals of dance in India that date back to 1000 AD when dance was believed to manifest powerful meanings.
-Begin and end each day with the 5,000 year old Indian tradition of Yoga. Learn to play classic Indian children’s games
